In our rapidly changing 21st century world, students need to be more prepared than ever in order to be successful after high school. Recognizing this, Greater Clark County Schools embarked on a partnership with Ford Next Generation Learning to establish The Academies of Greater Clark to ensure all of our students are college and career ready. The academy model will provide small learning communities of students and teachers that are organized around labor market demand and will enable students to explore areas of interest, find their passion and develop their critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration skills. Students will have the opportunity to dig deeper into one program of study, as well as opportunities for job shadowing, apprenticeships, internships, and authentic projects with business and community partners.
Charlestown High School invites parents of students in grades 9-11 to attend The Academies of Greater Clark Parent Night on Monday, December 4th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. This event will give parents the opportunity to learn more about the academy model and the various academies the district will be offering beginning with the 2018-2019 school year.
